WHO Program
We Help Ourselves is an empowerment program designed for public and private school-age children. Using puppets and/or educational videos and stories, our volunteers inform children about safety issues while teaching them what they can do to prevent becoming a victim.
School Success
The WHO curriculum is a national program developed in 1972 by the Mental Health Association of Greater Dallas. This program helps children learn how to handle potentially dangerous situations that may lead to abuse. It is an approved curriculum for many school districts in the Dallas area.
Over 17,000 school children have participated in a Family Outreach WHOÂ program at school. When children understand personal safety, they are less vulnerable to abuse. They are equipped to help themselves and their peers escape trouble.
